New dog? Yay! New skills!
We’re here to help you learn about how to prevent unwanted behaviors from occurring, how rewards develop behavior, and training games to get you started.
All dogs can learn basic skills at home. We’ve designed four training modules to help your dog learn to respond to his name, sit, come when called, and stay. You can teach your dog these skills at home with our help. We'll even give you personalized feedback :)
Our head trainer, Kristen, leads our simple, one-week, email-based lessons. You will work on four exercises that should help improve your dog's obedience. We'll even provide free 1x1 feedback during the program!
Our head trainer, Kristen, has a degree in animal behavior from The Ohio State University (go Buckeyes!). She has over 15 years of training experience and is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner, an American Kennel Club Good Citizen Evaluator and is a United Kennel Club SPOT program. Kristen is also a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). Her specialties are training family dogs, problem-solving, and competition training. When not working with her local 4H organization, you can find Kristen exploring with her Golden Retriever, Quill.
